White Acres Fisheries

This is a lovely little fishery, we did originally pay for the speciamin lakes but ended up having more fun on jennys lake having the children with us. It's beautiful and clean. The fishing shop is well stocked and staff friendly. Jennys lake pats pool and sycamore are very short walks from the car. But even the other lakes are not a major walk. Quite lovely to walk around at sunset. I really enjoyed it here and can't wait to come back. 5 fish in a afternoon was a achievement on its own.

Always enjoy fishing here. The team continues to do an excellent job, even with the speed bumps of the last 18 months. Only constructive criticism I would give is some clearing of the island margins of over hanging branches and snags as well.as desilting would be great. Enjoyed the matches too. Well run, enough fish caught to give a busy day but not need 400 quids worth of keepnets. The recent revamp of python is fantastic and will be a brilliant lake when the stock gains some size. Also as a bonus had Perch to over 2lbs from twin oaks and carp to around 15lbs from pollawyn.

Excellent fishing on the two specimen lakes Nelson's and pat's pool. Plenty of runs in Nelson's late evening and through the night. Lots of catfish upto 50lbs Don't expect much sleep. Pat's pool only has 30 catfish in it they go to over 80lbs fishing is alot harder than Nelson's ,but I managed a 65lb catfish. Also both pools have plenty of large carp 20- 30lb+ the bigger fish in pat's pool. Several commercial style lakes with lots of smaller carp and other species fairly easily fishing for all the family and plenty of choice of lakes and pegs.

An absolute "must fish". White Acres is somewhere you should have on your list to fish. 13 lakes to go at. Spent much of my time on peg 16 Jenny's Lake. Method 10 feet short of the left island produced non stop F1's, Carassio and carp. Used Dynamite Sweet F1 micros dusted with sweet groundbait. Interestingly when I swapped to green swim stimulation instead I started to get more carp and less of the others. Had another rod set up for the right island but only got a few small bream there. Swapped for bomb and (8mm robin red) pellet and dropped short into the bay instead. This picked up 4 carp over 10lb, s 4lb tench and a string of better carp. Pays to experiment. Three days fishing from 7am - noon and had over hundred fish each day - probably around 400lb on last day. Literally couldn't have caught any faster with no lull in the action. My nine year old had 25 carp out in one morning on method from peg 17 and other lad (13) had a few on pellet waggler. The tackle shop is well stocked and has everything you need, bait, tackle or advice. Can't recommend it highly enough. I couldn't bring all my gear with me, so banging out so many fish with two picker rods from a folding chair was really brilliant! Thanks to the fish of white acres for your efforts!

Lovely set of lakes, didn't get to fish them all. Most seem geared up for match fishing and not for the specimen hunters but all have plenty of room with other options should they get full. On site tackle shop proved to be very helpful, have plenty or tackle and bait. Cons for me personally was accessing some of the lakes required long walks with your gear. Barrows or trolleys required. Closest parking was not always anywhere near the lakes. Also I found a lot of the specimen lake I fished to be quite snaggy. Saw some lovely carp jumping about, but only managed small catfish, not really what I was after. Wish I had more time and maybe a lake rake to clear bottom first, but would love to return to give it another go. Interesting place worth a visit
